Kia ora tātou.

Nau mai ki taku paetukutuku. He wāhi tēnei hei whakaatu i te kaupapa e kaingākautia ana e au – ko te oranga o ngā mokopuna me ngā rangatahi o Aotearoa.

Ko Jase Te Patu tōku ingoa. He uri nō Ngāti Apa, nō Ngāti Ruanui, nō Ngāti Tūwharetoa hoki.

Throughout my life, I’ve worn many hats – New Zealand sportsman, Les Mills presenter, performer, broadcaster, master facilitator and international speaker. Each chapter has shaped the path that now guides my mahi: standing alongside our young people so they can grow strong in who they are.

My why is deeply personal. I have seen the pain that silence and mental distress can bring to whānau and communities. Those experiences strengthened my commitment to ensuring our mokopuna are supported, heard and surrounded by tools that help them flourish.

For more than three decades, I have shared practical wellbeing tools with tamariki, rangatahi and the adults who walk beside them. In 2018, I founded M3 Mindfulness, bringing together movement, mindfulness and Māori pūrākau into schools and early learning centres across Aotearoa. The intention was simple: give our young people the knowledge and confidence to understand themselves and care for their wellbeing.

Today, that kaupapa continues through Hauora Aotearoa. Guided by the wisdom of Tā Mason Durie and the values of Te Whare Tapa Whā, our mission is to strengthen the wellbeing of rangatahi and the communities that support them. The vision is generational – helping our young people not just survive, but truly thrive.

Alongside this mahi, I deliver Mental Health First Aid training and speak internationally, sharing messages that centre hope, resilience and the potential of our young people.

Whether in schools, workplaces or on stage, my focus remains the same: supporting the wellbeing of our people so that every mokopuna has the chance to live well, learn well and lead well.

It would be a privilege to work alongside your iwi, hapū, hāpori, pakihi or whānau.
